POOL CLOSURE!
Hello everyone,
Bramston Sports Centre are closing the pools for repairs for 6 weeks, so there will be no pool facilities until further notice. Lectures for the Ocean Divers continue as advertised, and we will still be holding meetings, followed by the pub for those who wish.Bob Taylor has offered to arrange courses such as an O2 update, Nitrox, First Aid for divers etc to make better use of the time. I have contacts in Seasearch, and again can organise a talk/video.Please let us know if you are interested in a course. They are well worth doing and good fun. Howerver we will not organise anything unless we get a show of interest !
See you all later

August Activities
Wow, the branch has been busy the last month!
Firstly we have proudly produced 2 new Ocean Divers - Rosie and Darren qualified and were rated as Ocean Divers on 7th August. Well Done to them!!
Members have been diving all over the place, the hard core possie brove the waters of stonie cove when blow out of a dive. Two trips to the Isles of Scilly have been run with great success. Several dives to Eastbourne have taken place, a trip to Plymouth and much more!
Socially we have been as busy as ever. We formed the picnic fraction of the branch, going to Jules Holland in Southend Park. The picnic we produced was impressive and the concert was great too. The club BBQ was brilliant, we ate lots, played rounders and the weather stayed sunny for the majority of the day.
Members are now sporting the latest in branch clothing thanks to Bill Bird who arranged our new outfits.
Our next big project is the AGM.
How about standing for the committee - positions are: Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Social Secretary, Diving Officer and Equipment Officer. The nomination board will be out soon so think about it, and PUT YOUR NAME DOWN (please!)
Also coming soon is the Branch Try Dive on 20th September!! Volunteers required.
Social Diary:
Dinner: September
Bouncers: 3rd October
Paint balling: 5th October
Christmas dinner: 6th December
Pantomime Cinderella: 21st December
Elvis Night: 17th January
